Meet the Nigerian Councillors who raised the Bar for Grassroot Representation amongst Councilors in Nigeria (Emiko Odin Etuwewe and Onoriode Agofure) (Delta State Councilors)~TEN Magazine

 BlogIn the recent survey carried out by our Correspondence to ascertain the Performance of Various Elected Councillors in Nigeria, Delta State recorded two Distinguished Grassroot Representatives who has lead above the expectation of their various Wards.

It was Gathered that the Duals who Represents their various Wards in both Delta South Senatorial District and Delta Central Senatorial District are determined to Contribute Even more towards giving their mandate area the true dividend of Democracy.

Hon Emiko Odin-Etuwewe a graduate of the prestigious Olabisi Onabanjo University, Post Graduate Degree on Communication Management from the Delta State University with Msc in view at the Novena University and grassroots politician precisely the councilor  representing the Warri Royal Ward called Bateren in Warri South West LGA of Warri , Delta State. 

                   Hon. Emiko Odin Etuwewe

Hon. Emiko Odin Etuwewe raised the standards of councilors with his  project back to school in collaboration with his foundation Raise the future Foundation and the Emiko Odin Etuwewe initiative respectively 

Hon. EOE as he is popularly called provides 3000 note books, sandals and bags to pupils annually in the riverine school of Iye, Omateye, agogboro, bobi olobe and orere primary schools respectively 

The creative and committed councilor registered and sponsors football teams such as the mayuku and Omateye fcs of the coastal settlement to annually participate in the itsekiri/ijaw peace and unity tournament . A very encouraging stride that engages the youths.

The maverick Emiko Odin Etuwewe is also the initiator of the now popular annual December 25th bateren carnival (A Warri royal village )tagged  Bateren peace and unity creek carnival which attract sons and daughters of the land back home every Christmas Day for the heritage celebration. This amongst many impactful contributions like youth and elderly empowerment’s support distinguished him for this recognition 

When asked about his personal value , he replied ; “Just being constituents centered and development driven through service and taking responsibilities “. 

And By this ...he spur other councilors to work beyond just the usual making of bye laws and constituency projects

Nationwide even though he raised quite some motions and constituency projects to recon with

He bagged some awards like best councilor  in Warri from 2018 till date by the oil city award with a testimony to that effect by the erstwhile chairman of PDP in his LGA Warri South West. Hon. J. Edema

This show of love for Warri and it’s people made Kpakam 2020 Warri art festival organizers to recently choose Emiko Odin Etuwewe as their ambassador

                  Hon Onoriode Agofure!

Hon. Onoriode Agofure the CEO of Two Kings Investment Nigeria Limited is the son of Mr and Mrs Agofure both of Agbarho Kingdom. Hon. Agofure Onoriode attended Oluwole Christ the King School and Excel College both in Ejigbo Lagos State where he obtained his Primary School and Secondary School Certificates. He bagged a Bsc. in Business Administration from the prestigious Benson Idahosa University and further proceeded to University of Manchester where he obtained his Msc. Hon. Agofure hails from Agbarho Town in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State Nigeria. He is the current Deputy Leader and councillor representing Agbarho ward 1 at Ughelli North Legislative Arm Delta State.

Hon. Onoriode Agofure his a reputable business man and a grassroot politician who's geared to raise the bar of leadership as a youth, his core focus are geared on  humanitarian services, Grassroot Empowerment aimed in touching the Educational Sector, Health and Human capacity building covering both the aged and youth in our society.

Some of Hon. Onoriode Agofure projects Executed thus far are renovation of Oguname Primary School, Provision of more than 200 School Desks and Chairs for Teachers and Students, Provision of 2,000 copies of Notebooks to Pupils and Students of Oguname Primary/Secondary School and Orhokpokpor Primary School both in Agbarho Kingdom, Provision of a lifetime educational scholarship to Student's schooling in Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) situated in Delta State, Provision of cash worth Two hundred and fifty thousand naira (#250,000) to Traders (Market women), Provision of more than 15 electronic sewing machines to desired fashion designers, Enrollment of more than 30 youths into any desired profession and provided start up funds, renovation of orherhe community hall were he provided more than 100 chairs, 50 tables, 10 industrial fans, Provision of Drinkable pipe borne water to the people of orherhe community, Distribution of food palliatives to the entire Agbarho Kingdom aimed at cushioning the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, influenced Amnesty Empowerment Programme to 50 prospective farmers which paid them #30,000 each among others.

Hon. Onoriode Agofure has bagged so many Awards from Groups to credit his good works such Award are 21st Century Icon on Good Governance and Role Model to the Youths by National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS/JCC Delta State), Agbarho Urhobo Improvement Union among others paid a thank you visit to appreciate him for his magnanimity. The President General of A.U.I.U described Hon. Onoriode Agofure has God sent representative after the distribution of the food Palliatives to Agbarho.
