Mrs Shimite Bello is the Executive Secretary of Delta State Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency. Prior to this she had served as CEO and President of several companies in the media, travel and agricultural segments in the country.

Shimite infuses her leadership role with a thorough understanding of the African rural community, rural financing strategies and the African market place. Shimite, an associate member of Women in Management Business and Public Administration, has strength in Strategic Planning, Public Speaking, Micro Credit, Cottage Industry Development, SME Development and Financial Literacy Training.


With the appointment of Mrs Shimite Bello as the head of DEMSMA by His Excellency the Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the sky is the beginning for the Agency.

Until her appointment by the Delta State Government, Shimite Bello is Group President/ CEO of Quintessential Group, a conglomerate of Non-Governmental Organizations, Social Business Enterprise and Limited Liability Companies in the Agriculture and Solid Mineral sector of the economy. Prior to this, she served as CEO and President of several companies in the media, travel and Agricultural sector of Nigeria. Shimite is renowned for her intricate Knowledge of Micro-Finance, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Human Capital Management, Job and Wealth Creation, through innovation in the Agriculture and Solid Mineral value chain, utilizing grassroots women and youth entrepreneurs as drivers of the process. She infuses her leadership with a thorough understanding of the African rural community and the African marketplace.


An associate member of Women in Management, Business and public service (WIMBIZ), A steering Committee member of USAID/NEXTT (Nigerian Expanded Trade & Transport)- LAKAJI Trade Corridor and the Agric–Business Development Specialist in the Association of Non-Bank Microfinance Institutions of Nigeria (ANMFIN).

Shimite’s aim is to add her quota in projecting Nigeria and the African Continent in a positive light as well as support organizations interested in providing financial support and investment, technical support and investment within this territory, and other relevant activities that will bring about development and socio-economic growth and sustainability.


She is currently being nominated as THE SMEs DEVELOPMENT Icon of the year category at the Delta State Entrepreneurs Recognition Awards 2017 holding at Orchids Hotel Dbs Road Asaba Thursday December 14th.
